Welcome to Slidr ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Slidr (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how we handle your data.

2. Information We Collect

We Do NOT Collect Personal Data

Slidr does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or user data to external servers. All operations are performed locally on your device.

Local Data Processing Only

The App accesses the following on your device for functionality purposes only:

Photo Library: To display and organize your photos for review
Camera: To capture new photos (if you choose to use this feature)
Device Storage: To read photo metadata and manage deletions

All of this data remains on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third parties.

3. How We Use Permissions

Photo Library Access (Required)

We request access to your photo library to allow you to:

View your photos organized by month and year
Review photos to decide which ones to keep or delete
Mark photos for deletion
Create a "Slidr Favorites" album for photos you want to keep

Important: Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. All processing happens locally on your device.

Camera Permission (Optional)

We may request camera access for future features that allow you to capture new photos directly within the app. This permission is optional and only used if you choose to use camera-related features.

Storage Permission (Android)

On Android devices, we request storage permissions to:

Read photo files from your device
Access photo metadata (date, location if available)
Delete photos you mark for removal

4. Data Storage and Security

All data remains on your device. We do not have servers that store user data. The only data stored locally on your device includes:

App preferences (language selection, settings)
Temporary list of photos marked for deletion (until you confirm deletion)
Usage statistics (photo count, review progress) - stored locally only

5. Third-Party Services

Slidr does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.

6. Photo Deletion

When you delete photos through Slidr:

Photos are moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder (typically for 30 days)
You can recover deleted photos from your device's Photos app before permanent deletion
Permanent deletion is controlled by your device's operating system, not by Slidr
We do not retain any copies of deleted photos

7. Favorites Album

When you mark photos as favorites in Slidr:

A local album called "Slidr Favorites" is created on your device
Photos are copied (not moved) to this album
This is a standard device album and works like any other album on your phone
The album and its contents remain on your device and are not synced to any external servers by Slidr

8. Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App is intended for general audiences and does not target children.

9. International Users

Since all data processing occurs locally on your device, there are no international data transfers. Your data never leaves your device through our App.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your data:

Access: All your photos remain in your device's photo library
Deletion: You can delete the App at any time to remove all App-specific data
Permissions: You can revoke photo library or camera access in your device settings at any time
Export: Your photos remain accessible through your device's native Photos app

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
Notify users of material changes through the App or via email (if applicable)
Post the updated policy on our website

Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). However, since we do not collect any personal information, these rights are not applicable to Slidr.

13. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). However, since we do not collect, process, or store any personal data, these rights are not applicable to Slidr.
